tomorrow is the end of Februhairy... and my mom just left my apartment after the most wonderful visit. in honor of both of these things, here's a fab photo of one of my favorite mustachioed men (who is no longer mustachioed, thank goodness)

like i said earlier, it's time for FebruHairy (hooray!) and boone's going to shave his beard on Friday after a job interview (also hooray!). here's a recap for you of what he looked like in '08 and '09. any thoughts about what 2010's 'stache style should be?

Febru-hairy recap...

so we raised just shy of $2,000 for the shelter! i'm so proud of my pals with 'staches... not only are they hotttttt but this means we exceeded our initial goal by $500. not bad for 18 guys and their female ally right?

joe came and shot some portraits for us... I don't have them all yet, but here are some highlights i snagged from his blog.

Februhairy ends TODAY with the 'Stache Bash. Let's hope we met our fundraising goal for the Women's Resource Center! (or at least got pretty close)

missing it...

back from VA and it was a WONDERFUL trip. we ate, played with friends, walked around town and just relaxed. i needed it baaaad.

but i'm back in ATL and februhairy has been going for a full week now. We're raising good money (i hope, i hope, i hope!) but apparently there's a conspiracy to remind me of just how great full-on facial hair looks... check out these stylish bearded gents from the sartorialist.

i'm so sorry that my posts have been lagging this week...
the truth is that boone and I are in the middle of Febru-hairy at school, so I've been doing promotion and planning for that.

what's febru-hairy?
i'm so GLAD you asked!

it's the fundraiser that boone and i started last year for a local Domestic Violence shelter during the month of February. Basically, we're trying to get as many dudes on campus (and off, for that matter) that we can convince and cajole to grow moustaches this month and take donations and tell people about the issue whenever someone asks why they've got a 'stache. all the cash we raise goes to the shelter!

last year we sold tshirts and had moustaches and raised 1,100 with about 15 guys. this year we're going even bigger! I'll keep you posted on how things go.. but in case i fall behind or if you just want to know more, check out my other blog here!
