I am so totally in love with my David Bowie. I think the seeds for my undying love affair were planted in childhood memories of the magic crystal-ball-juggling goblin prince from "Labrynth." Check out "Hunky Dory" - one of his first albums and best, in my opinion. For a solid 7months, I would start every single morning with the building piano chords and slinky, sultry encouragement of "Changes." "Wake up ya sleepy heads, put on your shoes, shake off your beds. . ."

it's funny that you mention Labyrinth... I made Boone watch it with me the other day and that's what spurred this homage. glad to know I wasn't the only little girl who thought David bowie + muppets = awesomeness

Bowie is awesome. My favs go back and forth between Hunky Dory, Heroes, and the Man Who Sold the World. Ziggy Stardust, of course, is outside of any kind of consideration because it is so incomparably awesome nothing could come after it.

And the Labyrinth? Beautiful. I have the soundtrack and listen to it regularly. And insert the names of kids in my class into the songs as I sing them to them during their lunch.

I love David Bowie. Good pics.
