had a wonderful time at home for thanksgiving... but now it's advent and everone but me in my hometown was shopping like crazy this weekend. i guess it's time to look towards the next holiday. even though I'm holding out for the alternative gift market to do major shopping, i wanted to do a little brainstorming for the folks i love.
porcelain coffee carafe for midafternoon pick-me-ups...
because she really (and truly) loves the warm, clean sheets...
a decoupaged tray for passing along her "opinions"...
something warm and snuggly to wear...
a set or two of her favorite stationary ...
a pretty recycled leather calendar so she can stay organized..
a tree. because she loves her garden and the whole world...

BIZ! oh bizzy bee, you dear! how have we not found each other before? i ADORE you blog, and you're on to winning my heart with all those christmas morsels for your dear mummy. i just clicked on the hug-a-mongolian-yak sweater because it is JUST want a gal wants to snuggle into on a sunday night by the fire, and of course it's anthro.
just wondering, how did you come across bigBANG? happy to meet your acquaintance, and here's a toast to you and your hubby for a wonderful christmas season! xo lily
(oh, and although from my most recent post it is clear i have a thing for burlap and therefore can't be trusted to be unbiased, i too love the burlap headboard with all my little heart. you could get the same affect with feed bags or coffee bags, which i'm sure you could find on ebay)
